It is our absolute pleasure to announce that the newly appointed Captains, Judi Cable and Glen van Dort, have selected a charity for North Downs Golf Club to support over the next three years. The chosen charity will be Valence School, located right here in Westerham. Valence School is dedicated to supporting children and young people with physical disabilities and complex medical needs, aged between 4 and 19 years old.
In line with the Get Golfing ethos, it was imperative to select a charity that is local, allowing the club to not only raise funds but also to forge a meaningful partnership. Through this collaboration, the Community Team will provide golf provision at their site, while some of the children will have the opportunity to experience playing golf right here at the club.
Judi Cable, the Ladies’ Captain at North Downs Golf Club, expressed her delight: “We are happy to support this worthwhile charity. We look forward to welcoming the children to the club in the near future, where they can enjoy, with their parents and careers, beautiful surroundings and an exciting experience”.
This partnership is a testament to our commitment to making a positive impact in our local community. Together, we can make a difference and create lasting memories for these remarkable individuals.
